Adobe Air

To all:

I am working on a package to configure Adobe Air. So far I have extracted all of the files in their installation .EXE, however the MSI does not run fully by itself and complains about missing 'sentinal'.

The appdeploy package DB states that the MSI can be used fully as any other MSI and what I want to do is create a transform to include disabling auto updates as well as control where the shortcut is placed.

I will try this again with the entire file/folder structure that is extracted with the .EXE.

Thanks all for listening!

If you have any suggestions or urls which include more configuration options, I am all eyes & ears.

When you extract the .msi from the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe, you need you get all file, not only the .msi. You should find the "Adobe Air" folder than contains the file "sentinel"

You are right. That did work!

Only sna-fu with using an MSI and transform is that Adobe in all of their wisedom, gives Air the exact same GUID with this version as it did with previous versions. So I am using a Wise template to do the dirty work. Works great!

Thanks for the help!
