Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.1

Hey all,

I was wondering what your experience is with the new 7.0.1 update Adobe released just last month. I have seen a lot of MSIs generated from 7.0.0 and have successfully gotten my own to work, but I am not sure how I can incorporate 7.0.1 into all this before I deploy Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.

Have any of you worked with this?

Thanks!

Simon

You can silently install the 7.01 update by using these switches:

Acro-Reader_701_Update.exe /S /v/qn

Note: No space between /v and /qn

I placed this in the InstallShield Tuner for AR 7.0 under the "Application Configuration\Launch Other Applications" section.

Hey Ted,

Thanks for your quick reply. That way may just be the best to do if I can't find out how to include the update in an MST. My installation was created with Wise instead of the InstallShield Tuner for Acrobat Reader so I may have to do some more tweaking and researching.

Thanks,

Are you assigning the application to users or to computers?

I tried the method you mentioned, but it never would install the update. I have a feeling that is because we assign all of our applications to computers rather than to users.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
