Sorry to inform you, but you're probably stuck with a manual file and reg removal if you want to to it silently, because this is not an MSI installation (5.0). But with a little detecctive work it can be done.

Also, the caps lock key is on the left side ;-)

Hi Willy,
the Acrobat 5 installers were Installshield installers. You need to generate a iss file to do the job.
See: http://itninja.com/blog/view/installshield-setup-parameters
And: http://www.appdeploy.com/tips/detail.asp?id=18

And there is plenty of information about this on the Adobe Site. See:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/enterprise_deployment.html
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1272

And here:
http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/browse.asp?cat=alpha&str=a

This should give you everything you need to do it.
Regards, Nick

The ISS file way of doing things is very unreliable and fails quite often when trying to implement as a CA in an MSI. I'd rather find the directories, shortcuts etc. and just get rid of them. Also, IIRC the Adobe 5.x doesn't even support silent uninstall!

The Acrobat Enterprise Installation Tool v1.2 won't be of any use in this situation; it is for deploying 5.x and edits the abcpy.ini file.

As for the articles on this site, take them with a grain of salt. Some wrong information has made it into the package KB articles. There is a lot of useful information too, but you'll have to confirm it yourself.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
