Administrative Install
Hi,
I have to deploy a number of vendor MSI's and would like to know if I need to create an administrative install and then create a transform file with the custom settings or can I create the transform with the oringinal MSI without creating an Administrative point install.

There is no need to create an AIP but it makes life simpler. The biggest plus IMV is that you have a single point to patch, should patching be necessary. An additional bonus is that all your installation will point to the same source, rather than drive [whatever] on this machine and drive [some other] on that machine, etc., etc.
