Adding Infopath SP1.

Hello Folks,

I have all workstations running Office 2003 SP1 at this time and I have been asked to install Infopath SP1 on all workstations.

I have an administrative install point and an MST file that contains all my configuration for Office 2003. What do I need to change in this MST to make it install Infopath? Also I want to use SMS to install Infopath ONLY on the existing machines.

This is the text of my original installation batch file :

\\Domain.name\dfs\install\msofficepro2003\setuppro.exe TRANSFORMS=\\domain.name\dfs\install\MSOfficePro2003\NFPower.MST /qb-

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Brian

bmalone,

To handle the folks who already have Office 2003 installed, you can use the Custom Maintenance Wizard (included in the Office 2003 Resource Kit) to change feature installation states. Run through the CMW to select the desired feature states (for example, include InfoPath as well as the other Office apps) and store the CMW file on your administrative install point. Also, copy Maintwiz.exe (if it isn't already there) to your administrative install point. Run the following command on each machine to update their installation:

<path>\maintwiz.exe /c "MyConfig.cmw"

Before doing this, I would read up about the CMW on Microsoft's website.

Hope this helps,

Jeremy

Thanks very much. This seems to be doing the trick.
