Ad-Aware SE problems

Hello,
I am using the MSI package from Lavasoft for Ad-Aware SE. Running it like this from the command line "aawsepro.msi /Q" works just fine. I made a SMS package (SMS 2003) around this command for the package and tried to deploy it.

It arrives on the machine and seems to extract the MSI into a new application folder for Ad-Aware. However - it does not create application shortcuts, uninstall information or anything else.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I am using UNC path but also tried mapping a drive when building the package. I also tried to have the advertisement download the package and not to run it from the distribution point. Any idea?

Thanks.

Chris

Have you tryed repacking it or was it repacked already?
Repacking makes the msi file work unproperly ocasionaly.

shortcuts are easy to made with scripts even installer wont do them, if you're unable to uninstall the software you can try basic install with the normal install file and use the repair command button.

If you work on an enterprise it might be difficult to remove all the unattended installs so that wouldn't be so bad if not to have uninstalling property?

I dont use uninstall thingy my self anymore, everything comes from UNC path unattended, I use networkdrive for my workfolder also. :-)

No, the package has not been re-packaged. We got the MSI from Lavasoft through our corporate account.
