$ access denied in my network

Hi,

Im not able access files in other computers using $ access (\\192.168.1.64\c$)   most of the machines are denied.

if $ access is denied on network using group policy  , would that have any issue with communication between Kace Agent and Server?

  • Yes, you need to get to \c$

Have you tried enabling file and print sharing on the Windows firewall on the clients? - flip1001 8 years ago
  • file print sharing and port is enabled in for kace to access, but if still $ access is disabled via group policy can agent and server k1000 communicate ? - rahimpal 8 years ago

That depends on the scope of the GP, doesn't it? If it's disabled for, say, 'Authenticated Users', your AD administrator must have balls the size of footballs. Or he is a vegetable. - anonymous_9363 8 years ago

Good point (although you probably mean "allowing" rather than "enabling"). Also, is 'Network discovery' on the target machines enabled or not?
