A website that will create custom images

Hello,

I'm about to start in on a project and would like some help on my brainstorming. I'm going to build a website that will provide users with the ability to pick and choose what they would like to be part of their image.

It will start with a base image (probably WinXP) and then the user will select checkboxes depending on which software they would like to be part of their image. There will be checkboxes for Adobe, MS Office, as well as many other programs.

I think the best way might be to create a page using ASP.NET that will just modify a sysprep, but that's just one idea. I have to figure from there how to get the image on to the user's machine. Should website push the image down to the users machine and have them burn it onto a CD? Maybe somehow start a Norton Ghostcast session?

Has anyone seen or worked on anything like this? Or perhaps have any tips to make this project go smoothly? I'm very proficient with C# and Java, but I pick up other languages and technologies quickly.

Thanks for the help,

Jake Newton
