Can someone please help I keep getting an access violation everytime I try and build my install.

How do I fix this? It crashes at the point that it is loading the file table.[:@]

All I did was add some shortcuts. I removed them again and it still crashes.

Any idea?

If IS is crashing on just this one project file, I'd guess that it's the file, which you'll need to rebuild.

If it's crashing on every file, it's either a bad IS installation or a problem with the workstation build. Hopefully, that build is in a VM/VPC which you've snapshotted so go back to a previous snapshot, install IS on that and see if you can load the file in that instance.

BTW, this forum is for errors returned by the Windows Installer engine itself, rather than normal Windows OS errors. Consequently, it may be moved by a moderator.
