ZettaServe has a position for a Desktop SOE Designer with well developed consulting experience at mid to high levels of IT management.

  • This is your opportunity to join the ZettaServe SOE consulting team in the provision of premium SOE design and consulting services to our predominantly blue-chip corporate and government clients.

  • Please note that the focus and experience required for this position are centred around design rather than SOE rollout.

  • Work Skills Required:

  • Designing SOE infrastructure (hardware, desktop and server components) using industry best practice standards

  • Consulting with clients to determine the best SOE solution for their current situation

  • Liaising with clients and SOE deployment teams to see SOE projects through from design to completion

  • Excellent technical documentation skills

  • Ability to work autonomously at client sites

  • Strong work ethic and initiative

    Experience:

    Successful candidates will have 5-10 years experience working independently on previous SOE design projects.

    Experience in the following technologies is essential:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000/XP automated installs

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003

  • Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy (including software deployment)

  • Microsoft RIS

  • Windows Installer (MSI) application package deployment

  • PC LAN/WAN networking

    Experience in the design and usage of at least one of the following SOE/Desktop Management technologies is also considered essential:

  • Microsoft SMS 2003

  • Novell ZENworks

  • ManageSoft

  • Altiris

  • Advance Standing will be granted to applicants in possession of one or more of the following:

  • Relevant University IT Degree

  • MCSE Certification

  • CCNA [/align]
