Where has the old sticky gone for scripting resources?  Ahh well.  Anyway, I've just answered a post recently about VBScript and SQL for Windows Installer.  It reminded me of a tutorial I wrote, with some example scripts, so I thought I'd share them here:

As ever, use these scripts at your own risk as there is no warranty provided!  They are not currently configured to spit out a transform (for vendor MSIs).  They probably need a bit more error checking in there too (which I might add given time one day) but feel free to use/redistribute/modify and/or for inspiration.  Comments/bugs/errors/feedback always welcome.
