Uniloc USA Inc., the technology leader in device-based authentication for protecting intellectual property, announced today that Casey Potenzone, CIO for Uniloc, will present alongside a panel of licensing experts on the topic of next-generation licensing strategies at the annual Intraware, Inc. SubscribeNet User Group Conference.

The conference is slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, October 2nd and 3rd at the Silverado Resort in Napa, CA. Participants will take part in a series of interactive case presentations, panels and group discussions and hear directly from Intraware partners and customers about SubscribeNet best practices.

The conference’s Preferred License Management Experts panel is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and will be moderated by James Brentano of Intraware.

“Licensing and software piracy issues are huge topics among software developers and vendors, so this panel should be an exciting and well-attended event. I’m looking forward to taking part,” said Potenzone.

Uniloc USA has recently published information about 10 software licensing strategies for managing piracy ( and Potenzone will provide additional detail surrounding these strategies during his presentation.

“Though leaders in our industry are starting to radically reshape all the processes and features that software publishers, businesses and consumers hate about software licensing and piracy safeguards, new approaches from licensing innovators such as Uniloc, now allow vendors to maintain secure software. This also allows software suppliers to take advantage of new distribution channels previously considered enemies to the software industry,” Potenzone said.

Uniloc USA recently announced its latest generation software copy protection solution, the SoftAnchor™ 5.0 product suite. The product seamlessly integrates the most powerful IP protection into the development process, side-by-side with application code. With only 35 lines of code and simple integration process, SoftAnchor takes days, not weeks for market-readiness and with SoftAnchor, developers are no longer held hostage by third-party copy control providers as they now have direct access to software copy protection code.
