We are seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator with application packaging and application deployment experience using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007). This candidate should be customer service focused and be able to build, deploy and troubleshoot applications using SCCM. The role will also be responsible for handling escalations, providing documentation, and implementing new products.

General Position Functions:

This candidate will be responsible for application support, application packaging, and application deployment for a wide variety of business applications.

Application packaging of client applications are done using Wise Package Studio or Install Shield.

The role is also involved in writing VB Scripts to assist in the packaging.

Support problem and change requirements as they relate to application or image building.

Work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to software application or desktop image environment.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in software packaging using Wise or InstallShield

2+ years of experience with SMS/SCCM creating packages, programs, collections, and advertisements for large scale enterprise deployments.

4+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems including Windows XP and Windows 7

3-5 Years application packaging experience in a large scale environment

Strong VB Scripting and Batch file experience

Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines

Enthusiasm and self-motivation with a strong work ethic

Accurate and comprehensive documentation skills

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience working with and supporting Microsoft Active Directory

Knowledge of Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.5 and sequencing applications

Familiarity with Application Virtualization using Microsoft MDOP (APP-V 4.6 SP1)

Required Skills:

Communicate effectively with customer and peers

Respond quickly to problems and changes

Ability to make use of advanced scripting tools (ex. VBScript)

Knowledge of PC configurations and settings

Knowledge of the LAN / WAN environment

Knowledge of operating systems and software distribution

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and four years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of

related experience.
