Application Installation Engineer

Sage Software Healthcare Division has an immediate opening for an Application Installation Engineer. This position will provide a development role in the design and implementation of our software deployment methods, primarily with regards to our flagship Intergy product suite. The position will be part of the Intergy Installation Development team.


This position’s primary responsibility will be to assist with the maintenance and development of the deployment products that is used to enable Sage to reliably and effortlessly install and upgrade our customer systems.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Maintain and enhance installation programs that can reliably install client / server application software in a Windows environment.

• Maintain and enhance programs that deploy patches that can be applied in an unattended environment.

• Work with the Intergy development teams to deploy new products and features.

• Work ethically and communicate effectively with others.

Required Skills:

• Our preferred candidate will have at least a Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree at an accredited US university.

• Our preferred candidate will have at least 2 years work experience with an object oriented programming language such as c++ or c#.

• Our preferred candidate will have at least 1 year experience developing installation and configuration programs in the Windows environment.

• Experience deploying client/server software to a large customer base is very helpful.

• Experience with Windows Installer is required; experience with InstallShield is very helpful.

• Experience with configuration management tools and source control systems is very helpful.
