ManageSoft, The Software Management Company™, today announced that Paul Cisternelli has been named vice president of worldwide marketing. Drawing on more than 20 years of enterprise software industry experience, Cisternelli is responsible for mapping ManageSoft’s software lifecycle management suite of solutions to the needs of IT organizations today and into the future. Additionally, he will manage and lead inside sales and drive the strategy and execution of all communications programs including marketing communications, lead generation, public relations and advertising.

“We are pleased that such a high-caliber, experienced marketing professional has joined ManageSoft,” said Walter Elliot, CEO of ManageSoft. “ManageSoft is committed to growing revenues and providing the most comprehensive dynamic software lifecycle management suite on the market. Paul’s experience in building a successful marketing team will be instrumental as ManageSoft continues to expand its business on a global scale.”

Cisternelli has an impressive record in exceeding revenue expectations at previous marketing and business development jobs. At Clinsoft, he helped lead a sales and marketing turnaround that ultimately resulted in record bookings in the two quarters prior to the merger with Phase Forward. He also created, launched and implemented the Clinsoft Application Partner (CAP) program, which resulted in $500k in revenue in the first six months. In his five years as director of worldwide business development and channel sales at MRO Software, he exceeded revenue quota through channel sales for four consecutive years and grew revenue contribution to more than $20 million in the fourth year.

Cisternelli is an active participant with the Massachusetts Software & Internet Council and the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA).

“The challenges facing IT organizations are growing dramatically as the reliance on information access increases,” said Cisternelli. “To effectively and efficiently meet these challenges, IT executives will need highly automated systems to deploy, configure, update, manage and protect their systems. I look forward to working with Walter and the ManageSoft team to take this company through its next phase of growth and ensure the success and proliferation of our software management suite of solutions.”
