Services?

Is this programme yet able to register services?

I was trying to test it by making a (Real)VNC deployment file, and it "works" well, but doesn't have any associated service.

Clean installed using VirtualBox.

If you're using the AppDeploy Repackager then I don't think it will populate the ServiceInstall and ServiceControl table, you would have to do that with an MSI editor such as InstEd (or ORCA).

ServiceInstall table: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa371637(VS.85).aspx
ServiceControl table: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa371634(VS.85).aspx

AngelD is correct-- this is a simple repackager which focuses only on file and registry entries. Any file or registry entries will be applied but there is no special handling of services like you get from tools like AdminStudio or Package Studio. Perhaps some day, but such features are not currently on the roadmap for this freeware offering.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
