Export users with assigned devices?
I tried to export all PC's and was hoping it would include the assigned user. I'm not necessarily looking for the inventory data. I know I can export from there and get the last logged in user, but I want the user it was assigned to. If I export from Asset Management>Assets I don't get it. I then tried to export the users since I can click on a user and it shows me the assigned devices there as well, but the export doesn't include it. Do I really need to manipulate the database directly to do this? Surely Kace provided a way to do this that I'm just not seeing. Right?

If you just need an export from one asset it's easy.... Go into the assets and navigate to that asset type. Make sure your username column is visible. (unhide it in the gear on the right if you can't see it) Then do "Choose Action" and select "Export all to CSV format". That will export all assets currently being displayed with the visible columns (you can also filter the results using search or advanced search) and what user is assigned to them.
If you want to an export of all assets assigned to all users, sadly there is not a good way to do this as far as I know, without making a custom report.

You are the best. I knew there had to be a way to do this. I over looked this because I have my device types set to laptop, desktop, etc... and I wanted all PC's. I can just export each of them and join them in Excel though. Thanks again! - dmeiers 2 weeks ago
